Warmth. Not just the heat of the crowd at Maire Luke’s but the internal warmth of the people and the circumstances. My daughter was there. Tom’s daughter was there. The dear actor friends of “The Cheek”, including the director and the writer were there. It was a bubble of warmth and storytelling performance that I have rarely experienced. The audience shared a dialog about aging, abuse, love, fear, poor choices, sad desperation and loss. They gave us their minds, their expressions, and their understanding for more than an hour. Not often in life do we have an experience that changes us in some way. Tourmakeady did just that.
